THE FUN RUN IS ON FRIDAY!

In our final week leading up to the Fun Run, we’ll be sharing one last spotlight highlighting some of the amazing PTA programs made possible by the dollars raised through this event. We also invite you to view this year’s PTA budget to see how these funds directly support our school community.

Volunteer opportunities are still available - check out this link to view and sign up!

BCS PTA sponsors teacher grants for supplies, materials, and experiences that promote educational equity, health, and safety. Our annual budget, raised through membership dues and fundraising, is $8,000.

Over the years, teachers have been awarded grants for a variety of materials, such as supplemental books, leadership class supplies, PE equipment, flexible seating supplies, and high-quality microphones, all of which promoted inclusion in daily and/or extracurricular activities.

Urgent Volunteer Opportunity | PTA President

The PTA is looking for a President for the 2026 - 2027 school year!

Maybe you’ve thought about getting more involved but assumed someone else would step up. The truth is, someone has to do it, so why not you?

This role is important because the PTA cannot function without a President. Without someone in this position, many of the things that make our school community special - community events, student enrichment programs, teacher grants, and more - could be at risk next year.

That said, you absolutely do not have to do it alone.

There is a lot of built-in support, including help from returning board members and guidance from the outgoing President. The PTA works as a team, and one of the biggest keys to success in this role is delegation. You do not have to personally handle every task. For example, someone else can facilitate meetings, lead committees, organize events, or take ownership of projects.

The role can also be shaped to fit your strengths and style. There is no single “right” way to be PTA President. Some presidents are highly organized planners, some are community builders, some are great communicators, and some simply care deeply about keeping our school connected and supported.

At its core, the PTA President helps keep everyone moving in the same direction and supports the incredible work already happening throughout our school community.

If you are interested, even just a little curious, or want to talk through what the role actually looks like, please reach out. We are happy to answer questions, share experiences, and help you decide if it could be a good fit for you.

Please email membership@beverlyclearyschool.org if you are interested or would like to learn more about this or other PTA leadership positions.
