Fun Run is May 15!

In the weeks leading up to the Fun Run, we’ll be sharing a weekly spotlight series highlighting some of the amazing PTA programs made possible by the dollars raised through this event. We also invite you to view this year’s PTA budget to see how these funds directly support our school community.

Two of the most anticipated events made possible by PTA funding are Spookarama and our Middle School Dances. Spookarama transforms our school into a festive, Halloween-themed celebration filled with games, treats, and activities that bring joy to students and families across all grade levels. It’s a community favorite that creates lasting memories and strengthens connections throughout the school. For our middle schoolers, the dances provide a fun, welcoming space to socialize, build friendships, and enjoy themed evenings complete with music, dancing, and a lively atmosphere that they look forward to all year.

These events don’t just happen; they are thoughtfully planned and brought to life through PTA funding, volunteers, and the generosity of our community. Your support helps ensure that experiences like these continue to thrive and remain a special part of our school culture.

 ANNOUNCEMENTS

Middle School Dance | Friday, April 17
*NEW*

We’re excited to announce that our next Middle School Dance is just around the corner! Join us on April 17, 2026, from 7:00–8:30 PM at BCS for a night of fun with friends. The students have spoken, and this dance’s theme is Glow in the Dark. Get ready for a high-energy evening with DJ Cotton Candy spinning great music and lighting up the dance floor.

Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase (cash only). Tickets are $5 (cash only) and will be sold on April 15 and 16 before and after school. Please note that students must have a signed permission slip in order to purchase a ticket. A quick reminder: students may leave the dance early if needed; however, re-entry will not be permitted. If a student leaves before the end of the event, a chaperone will contact a parent/guardian to confirm permission.

As always, this event wouldn’t be possible without our incredible parent volunteers! If you’re able to help with decorations, setup, cleanup, or chaperoning, we’d love your support - please sign up below. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to korwren@gmail.com. Teacher Appreciation Week | May 4 - 8
*NEW*

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 to 8, and we’re excited to celebrate our amazing BCS teachers!

We’re looking for volunteers to help make the week extra special by supporting daily activities like the Appreciation Breakfast, Notes Day, Appreciation Lunch, and Flower Day. We also welcome creative volunteers to help design and bring to life a Teacher Appreciation display case and hallway bulletin board. If you’re available to help in any way, we’d love your support in showing our teachers just how much they’re appreciated.

Please reach out to Caroline Adams at caroline.c.adams@gmail.com if you’re interested in volunteering. And keep an eye out for more details, including a volunteer sign-up link, coming soon!
