Fun Run is Coming!

Mark your calendars for our Fun Run on May 15! This exciting event is all about fun, school spirit, and supporting our community. As the PTA’s signature fundraising event, the Fun Run helps raise critical funds that support many of the programs and experiences that make our school so special. Students will run, cheer each other on, and celebrate together while helping make a meaningful impact.

In the weeks leading up to the Fun Run, we’ll be sharing a weekly spotlight series highlighting some of the amazing PTA programs made possible by the dollars raised through this event. We also invite you to click the link below to view this year’s PTA budget to see how these funds directly support our school community.

Interested in getting more involved? Join the PTA and be part of the team that helps make events like the Fun Run and so many other programs possible. Stay tuned to learn more in the coming weeks and get ready for a fun-filled day on May 15!

Outdoor Spaces Feedback Session | March 16 at 6:30 pm

Beverly Cleary's outdoor spaces should provide year-round opportunities for children, families, and community members to play, gather, and learn! The PTA Outdoor Spaces Committee has a new proposal for improvements, and we need YOUR input.

• How do you see your family benefitting from outdoor spaces at BCS?
• What are you excited about?
• What concerns do you have?
• How will this project align with seismic improvements?

Parents, please join us for free pizza, a demonstration of the proposal, and a discussion of feedback on BCS Outdoor Spaces! Monday, March 16th at 6:30 pm in the BCS Cafetorium.

Oregon Adventure Trips Summer 2026

Join experienced elementary teachers Ms. Walters and Ms. Nelson for fun, educational summer “field trips” exploring Portland’s unique landmarks and hidden gems while building friendships and confidence along the way.

Camps run July 6–10 and July 20–24, meeting daily at 9:00 am at the Beverly Cleary playground and returning to school at 3:00 pm.

Best for incoming 3rd–8th graders - we’ll be walking and adventuring most of the day (with snack breaks included). Come explore Portland with us this summer!

Ecuador Summer Trip 2026

Current 7th and 8th Graders - interested in the gift of travel? We've got openings for an epic nine-day trip to Ecuador this summer. Email Profe Herbage (jherbage@pps.net) if you're interested in going to the Amazon Rainforest, Andes Mountains, rafting, haggling for handicrafts in an indigenous market, and tasting organic chocolate at a chocolate factory.
