Join us for Heritage Night
*THIS WEEK*

Celebrate Beverly Cleary families at Heritage Night on Thursday, February 26, from 6:00-7:30 pm in the cafetorium. Enjoy music, art, food, and activities at booths hosted by families, create a collaborative art project, and strengthen our school community by learning about each other’s stories.

BCS OBOB Champions!

Congratulations to this year’s BCS OBOB champions - Estrella Ren (3rd–5th grade division) and Hwan’s Army (Middle School division)! Both teams are advancing to Regionals after an impressive season of reading and teamwork.

Thank you to all of our student participants for your dedication and sportsmanship, and to the many volunteers who helped make the event a success.

A special thank you to this year’s organizers, Brian & Merle Elloitt and Brooke Weeks, for their hard work and leadership in creating a wonderful experience for our students.

Oregon Adventure Trips Summer 2026
*NEW*

Join experienced elementary teachers Ms. Walters and Ms. Nelson for fun, educational summer “field trips” exploring Portland’s unique landmarks and hidden gems while building friendships and confidence along the way.

Camps run July 6–10 and July 20–24, meeting daily at 9:00 am at the Beverly Cleary playground and returning to school at 3:00 pm.

Best for incoming 3rd–8th graders - we’ll be walking and adventuring most of the day (with snack breaks included). Come explore Portland with us this summer!

Ecuador Summer Trip 2026

Current 7th and 8th Graders - interested in the gift of travel? We've got openings for an epic nine-day trip to Ecuador this summer. Email Profe Herbage (jherbage@pps.net) or Susan Nelson (sunelson@pps.net) if you're interested in going to the Amazon Rainforest, Andes Mountains, rafting, haggling for handicrafts in an indigenous market, and tasting organic chocolate at a chocolate factory.
