3rd - 5th Movie Night | February 20

Calling all 3rd - 5th graders! Join us for a fun and cozy Movie Night on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM in the cafeteria. Please enter through the cafeteria doors by the playground.

Bring a blanket, sleeping bag, and pillows, get comfy, put your feet up, and enjoy a movie on the big screen! We’ll be watching How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action!)

FREE popcorn will be provided! Drinks, snacks, and candy will also be available for purchase, cash only (small bills appreciated). You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.

Children must be accompanied by an adult chaperone.

You’re Invited: BCS OBOB Competition February 21

Come cheer on our students at the Oregon Battle of the Books on Saturday, 2/21, starting at 9:00 AM! Whether a competitor is participating or not, we’d love for you to join us and enjoy the excitement, teamwork, and love of reading on display.

Snacks will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Ecuador and NYC/DC trips (see flyer below). Come hungry and support a great cause while you’re there!

Join us for Heritage Night

Celebrate Beverly Cleary families at Heritage Night on Thursday, February 26, from 6:00 - 7:30 PM in the cafetorium. Enjoy music, art, food, and activities at family-hosted booths; create a collaborative art project; and strengthen our school community by learning about each other’s stories.

Restaurant Fundraiser Coordinator Needed for 2026–2027
*NEW*

While we will have several board positions available this year, we also have a few key lead roles, including a Restaurant Fundraising Chair. We’re seeking a volunteer to lead the organization of our restaurant nights and community engagement fundraisers for the 2026–2027 school year! These events are a fun and easy way to bring families together while raising funds to support our school.

If you enjoy connecting with local businesses and helping build school spirit, this could be a great fit. The current coordinator is happy to mentor and provide guidance to ensure a smooth transition.

Ecuador Summer Trip 2026

Current 7th and 8th Graders - interested in the gift of travel? We've got openings for an epic nine-day trip to Ecuador this summer. Email Profe Herbage (jherbage@pps.net) or Susan Nelson (sunelson@pps.net) if you're interested in going to the Amazon Rainforest, Andes Mountains, rafting, haggling for handicrafts in an indigenous market, and tasting organic chocolate at a chocolate factory.
