Whole Foods Market wants to give our school some money! Wednesday, January 12th is the Hollywood Whole Foods Market's first anniversary, and to celebrate they are giving 5% of that day’s store sales to the Beverly Cleary School PTA.
UPDATE (1/10/11): Comedy Night was a huge success! We made just over $4500 for our school's technology fund, thanks to the generous donation of services and nearly sold-out crowd. Again, many thanks to parent Art Krug for planning this fundraiser and to all the attendees. Watch out--this may become an annual event!
Our dire school budget woes are no joking matter, but that's doesn't mean we can't laugh sometimes.
We are hosting our third annual book donation drive for the Children's Book Bank from November 16 - 23. Please bring books - baby books, board books, Spanish books, story books, animal books, etc. to school during that week to drop in the donation boxes. Boxes will be located in the lobby at Hollyrood and at Fernwood in the second-grade corridor and across from the library. (Please no coloring/activity books or text books.)
This book drive takes place the week before the Scholastic Book Fair and is timed perfectly for you to clear some space on your bookshelves for your new books!
Your online shopping can do double-duty, making it an effortless way to help your PTA raise classroom funds.
We were glad to see so many families enjoying themselves at the annual PTA Spookarama! Great games, cakes, and costumes made for a fun evening, and the event raised nearly $3000 for the PTA! This is money that will be spent on classroom materials to directly benefit our kids.
A very special thank you goes out to Spookarama Parent Coordinators Sam Shiffman and Doug McMahon for spearheading such a wonderful event, and another round of thanks goes to countless volunteers for making it a very memorable evening.
