It's a lot of fun, and crucial to our school's continued success.
The BCS auction is the primary fundraiser for the BCS Foundation. The Foundation is the only way for families to pay directly for staffing at our school. The PTA pays for materials and the Foundation pays for staffing. Last year the auction netted $70,000 to help pay for music, art, a media specialist, foreign language, band and EA support during this school year. The budget situation in Salem is dire and the outlook for next year is even worse. If we want our school to be able to offer anything above just the most minimal curriculum, financial support for the Foundation is more critical than ever.
