BCS Fun Run Info and Reminders

Join us April 20th at the Grant High School Track as our students help raise money to support arts, technology and family support for our school community.

General Reminders:

  • All students need to wear sneakers the day of the race
  • The BCS Fun Run is rain or shine, dress appropriately
  • All students should bring a water bottle to the race, we will have limited water onsite
  • Only students, teachers and lap trackers allowed on the track during race
  • No spectators on the track
  • Spectators encouraged to watch from inside the track or on the track perimeter
  • No dogs on the track
Fun Run Shirts
Shirts will not be awarded as prizes. We are selling shirts as part of the fundraiser. Please see our display case at BCS Fernwood!
  • Shirt order forms will go home on Friday, April 7th
  • Shirt order forms are due Wednesday, April 12th
  • Shirts delivered to students Wednesday, April 19th
  • All shirt order forms received after April 12th will still be processed but the shirts will be delivered after the race.

Donation Forms

  • Donation forms will go home Friday, April 7th
  • Students will receive envelope with laps run by Friday, April 21st
  • Donation Forms and money received due Friday, May 5th
  • *Forms DO NOT need to be turned in prior to race
Start Times
Please note that the times for certain grades have been changed. This change was necessary due to lunch conflicts and transportation issues.
9:00 - 9:30: Kindergarten and 4th Grade
9:45 - 10:15: Middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th Grades)
10:30 - 11:00: 1st Grade and 5th Grade
11:15 - 11:45: 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade
The Fun Run will be very similar to previous years. The big change will be 4 starting points (stations) instead of 1, which means we need your help staffing the stations. We also need people to track laps, staff the first aid station, and assist in setup and breakdown.   • Everyone who participates will receive a participation bracelet
  • Everyone who earns 30 points or more will receive a BCS Fun Run Water Bottle
  • Everyone who earns 40 points or more will be entered in a raffle for a FitBit
  • Top Earners and Point Scorers in Each Division will win a $25 scrip card of their choice
  • Divisions: K – 2, 3 – 5, 6 – 8
  • Top Participation by class will earn a class party
  • Winners Announced May 12th
  • Water Bottles Delivered by May 20th
